2010 High Adventure Trip to Philmont

June 13, 2010—June 26, 2010

The Great Trail Council announces the 2010 High Adventure Trip to Philmont! The council has secured two crews of 12 each to travel to Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, New Mexico from June 13 to June 26, 2010. The budgeted cost of this trip is $1,700 and includes all airfare, touring, all meals, two custom sweat-wicking T-shirts, GTC Philmont hat, all Philmont fees and transportation in New Mexico! This is a highly popular, once in a lifetime trip and participants will be assigned, first come (with deposit), first served! Registration deadline is October 15, 2009.

This trip is open to Scouts and Venturers registered in the Great Trail Council. Youth must be at least 14 years old by January 1, 2010 or must complete the 8th grade in June of 2010 to be eligible to go. Participants must be physically capable to complete a backpacking trek in the mountainous region of Philmont (6,000’ - 12, 441’ elevation). Travel dates may be adjusted based upon available airfare. Refunds for nonparticipation will only be made after a paid replacement is located.

Fill out the form on our council website www.gtcbsa.org and return with your $200 deposit to: Great Trail Council, PO Box 68, Akron, OH 44309-0068 to secure your place. Got questions? Contact High Adventure Chairman Steve York at scoutmaster777@syork.net
