Haunted Hayride (Camp Butler)

Where: Camp Butler (MAP)
Desc: The Annual Haunted Hayride is a fun family themed event traveling thru Camp Butler. Tickets purchased here are valid for the night purchased ONLY! The show goes on Rain or Moonshine. Tickets are $8.00 per person if purchased online and in advance. Tickets purchased at the gate are $10 each.
Everyone in line at 9:30pm will get a ride!

Scoutmaster / Assistant Scoutmaster Specific Training - Indoor

When: MULTIPLE SESSIONS TO CHOOSE FROM Starting: 10-12-2019 . Check-in begins at 7:45am and a Continental Breakfast and lunch will be provided as part of the $6 cost. Classes begin at 8:00am and conclude at 12:30pm.
Where: There are three (3) courses offered; click the link below to chose.
Desc: This training course is for new Scoutmasters, Assistant Scoutmasters, and Webelos Leaders moving up to Scout Troops, Committee Members, Chartered Organization Reps, Commissioners, or anyone else interested in attending.
The training is designed to help the new leader learn the basics of operating a Troop and to help the experienced leader get up to date.
We cover: The Scouting Organization, Troop meetings, Advancement, the Outdoor Program, the role of the Scoutmaster and other adult leaders, the role of the Patrol Leaders Council and other important subjects. You will have the opportunity to discuss real life problems with other Scouters in the Great Trail Council and develop new friendships along with fellowship.

Cub Scout Leader Specific Training

Desc: This Cub Leader training day will help you understand the concepts of the scouting program and give you a solid foundation to be a great leader.
Being trained in your position will definitely give you the confidence and a clear direction to take in having a great, fun and exciting program for you and the Scouts.

Cub Scout Fall Fun Day!!!

When: Saturday 10-12-2019 3:00 PM ET to 7:00 PM ET
Where: Camp Manatoc Dining Hall. (MAP)
Desc: Calling all new Cub Scout Families!!!!! Join us on October 12th anytime between 3:00pm-7:00pm for a day of awesome activities to "Welcome you to the Pack"!
**If your child is a current Cub Scout and you are not registering for any new Cub Scouts, please register your Scout as a Sibling.
Archery, B.B.s, crafts, carnival games, Scout Skills, and many more fun activities are available!
All new Cub Scouts (1st-5th grade) will have the opportunity to earn your Bobcat Badge!!!
Every registration will receive 1 complimentary ticket to our Haunted Hayride on October 13.
Headquarters for the event will be the Historic Camp Manatoc Dining Hall!

BALOO - Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation

When: Starts: 10-18-2019 Ends: 10-19-2019
Where: Camp Stambaugh Dining Hall. (MAP)
Desc: Does your Pack get outdoors enough? Is it maximum fun? Does everybody go?
Let BALOO show you how! This course is for any adult involved in Cub Scouts with a desire to plan and carry out an entry level outdoor experience for their Pack. This is the first step in the BSA outdoor training program. Each Cub Scout Pack overnight event must be under the direction of a BALOO trained adult. Additionally, this new and improved course includes the training that all Webelos Den Leaders need to be able to plan & conduct (and survive!) a Webelos Den overnight campout. You do NOT have to be a registered leader to attend.
BALOO is an overnight training event, 6:00 pm on Friday October 18th through 9:00 pm October 19th.
Fee includes meals & refreshments!
REQUIRED PREREQUISITE — Course participants MUST complete the online BALOO Prerequisite Training prior to attending this outdoor course. To take the online course, login to and click > My Dashboard > Training Center > Cub Scouting > Course Catalog > Expanded Learning > BALOO Prerequisite Training. Approximately 50 minutes to complete. Please print your certificate and bring it on October 18th.
Please see the attached documents at the right for more details and a recommended packing list for the overnight camping. Participants are responsible for bringing all camping gear. Tent camping is encouraged. Cabins are available.
Fee: $25 if registered by October 8, 2019. $30 if registered between October 9th and October 14th. Registration closes October 14, 2019. No Walk-Ins Accepted for this Training.
Please bring a completed Annual Health and Medical Record, parts A&B. (C is not required)

Den Chief Training

When: Starts: 10-19-2019 Ends: 10-19-2019 Registration: 8:45am Course: 9:00am-11:00am
Where: Camp Stambaugh Dining Hall. (MAP)
Desc: *The training is designed for Den Chiefs. However, all adult leaders who recruit or work with Den Chiefs are encouraged to attend with them. Also, leaders of the Dens should attend to learn how to make the best use of a Den Chief.

Troop Committee Training

When: Starts: 10-22-2019 — Ends: 10-22-2019
Where: Camp Stambaugh Dining Hall. (MAP)
Desc: This course will provide the committee members of a Boy Scout troop the basic information they will need to support a troop and ensure a successful scout-led troop program.
Training will be held at Camp Stambaugh and cost is $2.

Klondike 2020: North to Alaska

When: January 18, 19, 20
Where: Camp Manatoc Dining Hall. (MAP)
Desc: This year's theme is North To Alaska and will focus on putting Scouting skills into action by a series of events demonstrating what can go wrong if you were on a sled dog trail heading through the Alaskan backcountry.
